NATURAL DIAPER RASH TREATMENTS – HOME REMEDIES

NATURAL DIAPER RASH TREATMENTS – HOME REMEDIES. Diaper rash is a major issue of every parent’s day. It is a result of red, inflamed skin that is visible at the base of babies as well as the genitals. It can result in crying babies and parents who are stressed. Since it’s a common issue, the market for babies is filled with “miracle remedies.” But they’re not created in the same way, as certain products expose infants to hazardous chemicals.

NATURAL WAYS TO SOOTHE DIAPER RASH

If rashes and diaper signs appear, it’s possible to try one of these remedies after gently washing and rubbing their bottoms to dry. Let the natural solution preferred solution soak in prior to changing to diapers.

CORNSTARCH

Cornstarch for diaper rash is a pantry staple that works identically with baby powder. It assists in keeping the area dry and also creates an environment that allows the skin to heal faster. This is particularly helpful in warm weather, where water can build up more often on the lower part of your child, or on the perfect Thigh roll.

BREASTMILK

If you’re a mother who breastfeeds, you are conscious of the healing benefits that breastmilk has (clogged tears, baby cuts acne, etc.) Did you ever have the thought that dabbing milk on the diaper rash can alleviate discomfort in the area? Breastmilk is an effective source of healing and antiseptic properties.

COCONUT OIL

The oil can be used for multiple purposes and naturally has anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties which help eliminate Candida which causes many diaper rashes. It also reduces inflammation and increases hydration as well as provides a strong barrier between diapers and rashes in babies.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

The rashes that occur in diapers, caused by fungal or yeast infections, can be treated using apple cider vinegar. The vinegar that is fermented eliminates the bacteria responsible for causing the crash and also stops the growth of yeast.

OLIVE OIL

Get relief from the itching by using an effective treatment for itching naturally making use of olive oil. It is a natural anti-inflammatory oil with antimicrobial properties. Olive oil is nourishing and moisturizing and can ease any pain or discomfort associated with the rash. A tiny amount can go a long way too.

HONEY AND CHAMOMILE SPRAY

Create a soothing natural antiseptic spray by dissolving one teaspoon of honey in two cups of chamomile tea. Then, transfer the mixture into a spray bottle that is small in size so that you can apply the spray directly on the baby’s lower limbs (be sure to allow it to fully cool prior to applying!).

OATMEAL BATHS

The oatmeal ingredient is very soothing on the skin, and can easily be added to baby’s baths to ease diaper rash without any fuss.

BAKING SODA BATHS

Baking soda is an alkalizing ingredient and is an excellent natural remedy to treat diaper rash. Include a scoop of it in the bathing water to alleviate irritation and lessen the itching and redness of the skin rash.

PLAIN YOGURT

Probiotics are a fantastic source of beneficial bacteria. Yogurt helps to restore the skin’s natural healing processes. Its refreshing and cooling texture can soothe the skin and provide your baby relief. Be sure to thoroughly clean and dry the area prior to putting on another diaper.

ALOE VERA

Aloe vera can be utilized to help treat inflammation and is extremely relaxing, this is why we recommend this natural remedy and why we use the ingredient in our Bamboo diapers, wipes, and diapers! It is suggested to choose the purest form of aloe.

AIR TIME + SUNSHINE

Sometimes giving our skin air and space allows it to do its task and heal its self, without the need for expensive creams or products. We would love to give our children plenty of time without diapers not only to heal diaper rash on its own but to stop it from happening naturally as well.
