Nashvillebased Xsolis Ai Silicon Valley… – XSOLIS, which uses artificial intelligence to improve healthcare operations and communication between hospitals and insurance companies, has raised $75 million in Series C funding. This is the latest round of financing for a Nashville-based privately held company. The firm’s investors include a collection of notable venture capital funds, including KKR; the family-owned investment firm that recently invested $100 million in Nationwide Insurance; Dell Technologies Capital Advisors; and an anchor investor, Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., Ltd.

The funds will be used to expand XSOLIS’ operations into China and South Korea.

Investors in the round included KKR, Dell Technologies Capital Advisors and Hyundai Merchant Marine. Existing investors that participated in the round include Anthemis Group, Anthem Venture Partners, Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), Dartmouth Partners and HealthX Ventures. The company also added new members to its board of directors including Sung-Joon Park, M.D., Chairman of InMed Pharmaceuticals and Dr. Joseph Guberti, chairman of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

Founded by CEO Yoon Soo Kim and Chief Advisor Dr. Benjamin Palmer in 2015, XSOLIS applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to generate healthcare data on hospital operations in real-time. It also develops a network of its own artificial intelligence-enhanced health facilities that share this constantly updated patient data. This allows hospitals to improve their efficiency, reduce costs, and increase transparency within the industry.

The company was founded in Nashville and has offices across the country. As of now, it has partnered with over 300 health care facilities, including leading healthcare organizations such as University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
